Want to watch a movie?

Oh, there will definitely be a screening room. This one, built by Bradford Wells + Associates, is gorgeous.
Created for Venture Capitalist and Entrepreneur Howard Sherman and his wife actress Sela Ward, this elegant room combines rich warm interior design with state-of-the-art home theater electronics. The room can seat 18 comfortably.

The projection screen is 16 feet wide and provides the ultimate state-of-the-art viewing via a digital video projection system by NEC.

The Miller & Kreisel Lucasfilm THX® 2825 Watt sound system is installed behind the screen and the surround speakers are built into the custom suede covered walls and their perforated metal grilles are painted to match the suede color.

All functions of the room – lighting, curtains, heating and ventilation, DVD, high definition satellite etc. are controlled by a Crestron touch screen panel (as shown).
I have no idea how much something like this costs, so I am basing my estimates on my five-year history of watching interior design shows.

Liabilities:
This item = $40,000
Total = $44,094,574

2 Thoughts.

1 - The couches don't look as comfy as I would want them to be. Although I'm sure they're better quality, they almost look like those "Banquette seating" that Trading Spaces does all the time that does not look comfortable.

2 - I can't believe in the picture for this screening room they are using what has got to be Bringing Down the House with Queen Latifah. Seriously. There are much better movies they could've had on the screen that would make me think better of Sela Ward and hubby.

1- I added another pic. The couches look more comfy here.
2- Yes, they maybe could have had something showing that had her in it.

Ahh yes, a much better view. Definitely more plush than the ones Doug loves on Trading Spaces.

If Sela Ward had been on the screen in Sela Ward's screening room, everyone would've thought Sela Ward was a colossal egomaniac. It's probably best Sela Ward likes Queen Latifah and Steve Martin.

Well, yes there is that. I wouldn't have expected Sela Ward to be on the screening room in her own home, but just the movie choice that is on there. It is so bad! There are so many better movies that could've been on the big screen. Even better Steve Martin or Queen Latifah movies.

I'm not a fan of sea foam green, but I could live with it to have this room. I'm with joanne on the movie choice, though. I think Sela could do better.
