I think that two weeks in the Maldives at Christmastime would be fantastic. Not that Christmas in California brings with it severe weather, but I could do without the familial obligations.
I can't even imagine walking out the front door of my private villa and descending a ladder straight into the ocean, but I am fairly sure it would include being in a state of pure bliss. I don't know what else I would do while on vacation in the Maldives, but even if I just stayed at the villa the whole time lounging in the sun and dipping into the lagoon that it would be time and money well spent.
Liabilities:
Air = $7000*
Hotel = $16,800 ($1200 x 14 nights)
Incidentals = $7000 ($500 x 14 days)**
These items = $30,800
Total = $12,760,863
*When I looked up the ticket prices, I noticed that we would have a layover in Dubai. A stop in Dubai is definitely a topic for another post.

Quite nice. No idea where the Maldives is, but I'm totally game. On someone else's dime, of course.
So, yeah...if you were disgustingly rich, what would you do for your friends?

Hmmm...only 14 days? I'd be there at least a month.
But I also have a problem with how to be disgustingly rich. Sure, I could easily blow $13m setting myself up, but personal maintenance wouldn't hit ridiculous daily levels for months or years. I'd be surprised if I could consistently do $500/day in incidentals unless I went shopping often.
Of course, that's always a possibility.
I was thinking the $500/day average would be spent on mostly on meals and spa treatments.
